. Introduction:
AYDJ Printing Proofer (for Gravure Ink) is ideal for providing quick,highly accurate and repeatable samples of gravure inks under lab condition. It may be used for proofing sample,checking printability and R&D for ink products. The machine adopts engraved printing plates direct printing method. Any flexible substrate including films,paper, etc can be printed or laminated, featuring easy operation. It comes complete with: 1 Special Printing Plate for Gravure.

. Operating Procedure:
1. Put this instrument on the stable & flat table, switch panel is in the front.
2. Install gravure printing plate: put the side with specification letter on the far-end and make the other side without specification letter on the printing plate right to the front-end of mounting bed, properly tighten pressure screw.
3. Loosen clamping handle, life shifting rack, install doctor knife rack. After closing to location pin, tighten screw (doctor knife is enclsed in the packing bag of Instruction Manual). Retro displacement 45° of doctor knife rack, properly tighten pressure screw of doctor knife rack.
4. Push shifting rack back to the bottom. Properly adjust micrometer for doctor knife & impression roller upward. (Loosen clamp ring on the bottom before adjusting), make sure that doctor knife & impression roller don't contact with printing plate on the condition of putting down shifting rack,locking clamping handle.
5. Put down shifting rack,locking clamping handle. Adjust micrometer for impression roller downward (loosen clamp ring on the bottom before adjusting, lock it after adjusting), produce suitable pressure between impression roller and printing plate (paper compressed tightly can't be withdrawn easily). After impression roller parallelly contacting with printing plate, clockwise rotate 1-2 circle scale of micrometer. Take down the substrate and see the result of printing, adjusting it according to leveling conition.
6. Adjust micrometer for doctor knife downward (loosen clamp ring on the bottom before adjusting, lock it after adjusting), produce suitable pressure between doctor knife and printing plate (scrape surplus ink of non-engraving part). After doctor knife parallelly contacting with printing plate, clockwise rotate 1-2 circle scale of micrometer. Take down the substrate and see the result of printing, adjusting it according to doctoring conition.
7. Loosen clamping handle, make sure that a shifting rack has been sufficiently pushed back. Rotate the "proof/hand/reset" knob to the hand position (in the middle). Connect the equipment to the power and switch on. First choose "1" speed (20m/min). Rotate the "proof/hand/reset" knob to the Proofing position, confirm that a shifting rack is sliding smoothly. After reseting, choose suitable proof speed usually choose "3" speed (40m/min) from the beginning, properly lower proof speed if leveling condition is not good after trial printing.
8. Proof operation: fix appropriate width & length flexible substrate (including films,paper, etc. recommend: 120×240mm) to the impression roller, sticking a scotch tape on the impression roller. Tighten paper keeper, lock clamping handle, put the right amount of ink on the printing plate closing to a doctor knife (put the right amount of ink at the beginning of engraving part, closing to width of cell but not passing it). Rotate the "proof/hand/reset" knob to the Proofing position, roller rotate through one revolution from back to forth to produce a proof, inks are printed onto the substrate.
9. Loosen clamping handle, take down the substrate. Lift a shifting rack and choose "reset" to make it back to the bottom (reset speed has been adjusted when equipment was leaving the factory). Clean the doctor knife,printing plate & impression roller with soft cloth dipped solvent. During cleaning rotate the "proof/hand/reset" knob to the hand position (in the middle), a shifting rack can be easily moved back and forth, easy to clean and operation. After finishing cleaning, reset a shifting rack.
10. Take down the substrate and see the result of printing, properly adjust ink or the equipment according to proof condition.
. Note:
1.The machine is used for chemical material process, safety and health protective step must be set up in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Before using this machine, safety problem associated with chemical material must be established by user, not belonging to explanation of this Instruction Manual.
2.If there is protective paper on the printing plate when first using. Please take it off.
3.Don't choose "4" speed (45m/sec) when no-load operating.
4.After using equipment for a period of time, lubricant should be added so as to lubricate guide rail.
5.After finishing proofing, printing plate must be wiped & cleaned, otherwise it will easily cause tinting. Make sure that no residue left on the engraving part before proofing.
6.Printing plate,doctor knife & impression roller are playing an important role in proofing, avoid knocking against and scratching during operation, they should be cleaned and maintained timely.
7.Please rotate the "proof/hand/reset" knob to the middle position, if a shifting rack moved by hand during operation. If selecting "proofing", a shifting rack will be rapidly moved forward at selected speed. If selecting "reset", a shifting rack will be rapidly moved back at selected speed. Return speed has been adjusted when the equipment was leaving the factory.
